Must have books for mothers from Blogchatter’s AtoZ carnival

Presenting to you here, are my favorite must have books for mothers from the EBook collection of Blogchatter’s A to Z carnival.

Blogchatter every year organizes this A to Z carnival for blog writers to write 26 posts following a certain theme, which they can further convert into an e-book. So here are my two picks from the collection, which i think every mom must read.

Healthy Eating for Busy moms By Dr. Surbhi Prapanna

Book: Healthy eating for busy moms

Author: Dr. Surbhi Prapanna

Genre: Recipe Book

About the Author: Dr. Surbhi Prapanna is a homeopathic therapist by profession and a writer and blogger by passion. She has more than 4 years of professional writing experience and her work had been published on various prestigious online platforms like Momspresso.com, kidstoppress.com, cureJoy.com and shivanaspirit.com. Health, parenting and creative activities for kids (art, crafts, DIYs etc…) are her niche. And she shares her areas of expertise and parenting experience on her blog www.surbhiprapanna.com . She has won so many awards for her academic and professional excellence, but won the “Best parent award” is most precious and satisfying experience of her life.

Verdict:  Surbhi’s book is just not another regular recipe book. As the name says, it consists of all the healthy and mostly one pot recipes. Although the book has been articulated keeping in mind the needs of the busy moms but I would have to defy with the title a little bit as I don’t think it is specific to only moms, anyone can cook up the recipes as they are super easy to cook and delicious at the same time.

Every recipe is presented having the entire details specific to the nutrition value along with the health benefits of ingredients involved, so you know what you are going to eat. Ingredients and the method of cooking are mentioned point wise and in detail which is pretty convenient to follow. Apart from that Surbhi also mentions the variations around of a particular dish so you can easily switch to the version you like most.

The highlight for me was the additional tag along recipes of the side dishes like chutneys etc.

You definitely need to checkout this book if you are a lazy soul like me.

I have already read Surbhi’s book and I agree, this book is not just for moms but for everyone who want quick and easy recipes. I did read a couple of chapters from Kinshoo’s book but haven’t explored the entire book. May be I will have a look. Need some craft ideas for my 4 yer old.
